Downloaded 2026-10-03. Each standard set contains wK,wQ,wR,wB,wN,wP and bK,bQ,bR,bB,bN,bP SVGs.

These source icons have a black square background and white artwork; remove the first background path to make a transparent silhouette, and record the modification when used.

Derived special/wE.svg, bE.svg, wA.svg and bA.svg: background removed, fill changed and contrast outline added from Delapouite elephant and bow-arrow originals. Same CC BY 3.0 attribution applies.

Derived pieces/wS.svg, bS.svg, wL.svg, bL.svg and horse-bow.svg reuse the same Delapouite bow-arrow source under CC BY 3.0. Short bows are vertically compressed; longbows are horizontally narrowed; the mounted bow uses a cropped viewBox. Fills and contrast outlines are retained or recolored.

Derived pieces/horse-crown.svg reuses Maurizio Monge’s Fantasy queen crown geometry under MIT. Fine ornaments were omitted, the crown vertically compressed, and gold fill with two-tone contrast outlines added for small mounted-archer icons. The full MIT notice is embedded in the SVG and retained in licenses/fantasy-LICENSE.
